Background:
Seattle Pottery Supply is a clay, glaze, and kiln manufacturer in Seattle, Washington since 1975. Since acquiring new ownership, the business underwent a refresh in their branding where products and production could be highlighted using videography and photography that supported their new website and social media presence.
The design approach was to keep the existing logo from the previous ownership to maintain a familiarity with its existing clientele and upkeep the history of the business. Adding collage-like elements to the banners and design throughout its visual design would emphasize the concept of handmade craft. A sophisticated and relaxed palette was chosen to embrace its previous scarlett red and bring in the new color of the building’s facade. Because it’s located near SODO’s port, a light blue was also picked to contrast the stark red and deep brown, while playing off on the ivory color that comes from kiln bricks.
